What's an ATS?
An Applicant Tracking System is the software employers use to read and sort incoming resumes. Before a human ever sees yours, the ATS parses it into fields — contact, experience, education, skills — mostly by reading your section headings and bullet text. If a resume doesn't parse cleanly, strong candidates get filtered out before anyone reads a word.
This checker estimates how an ATS would read your resume — what it can pull out, the layout patterns that trip parsers up, and where content might get dropped — so you can fix it before you apply.
This is a heuristic check of structure and content — the same signals ResumeFolio grades — not a guarantee any specific ATS will accept your resume. Nothing you paste or upload is sent anywhere; it's all processed in your browser.
